Carnival of Disaster - Grand City Carnival

"Fue~" Hina gasped for air after coming out of Abyss's chest. Hina thought back for a moment and then tried to cover her body with her arms and asked "'Our' love?"

"What!? No! I mean... Whatever, you'll understand when you see it, now come on I think I know where Nemo went," said Abyss storming off out of the alleyway.

Hina, curious on what she meant decides to follow her. She then wonders how they can kill someone with love.

While Hiro began to pull Kira along, a man stood in his way. Hiro scanned him from bottom to top and then gulped down a sigh. He was a very tall and muscular man who wore rugged clothes. Hiro could easily teleport his lower half into a blazing pit of lava where it shall it burned to ashes and then tortured afterwards but he didn't really do anything to him that would prompt Hiro to do such a thing. Hiro decided to go around him but as he was walking around, the man punched Hiro in the face causing him to fall flat onto the floor.

"Hey miss, why don't you come with me instead of this squirt?" He asked showing off his muscles to Kira.

Kira looked at the man and began to think...."You're a yeti that escaped the mountains and is inviting me a goddess in comparison to go out with you... Get real, but as for the boy you just knocked over, we're only working together for convenience so do what you want with him." Kira walks to a near by bench and sits down crossing her legs and watches. "I'll wait here for you two to finish playing."

Hiro got up to react in annoyance and replied "You could at least care for me a bit!" then he puffed is cheeks out in anger. During Hiro's fit, the man got behind Hiro picked him up by the collar and then threw him several meters away.

The man reapproached Kira and lowered his head to Kira's level and then said "I'm done playing with him. There are times when even a beast will go after humans. Come with me or else you might end up like that guy," he then nudged his head towards Hiro's direction.

Kira smiled, "Very well", Kira got up and went with the Muscle bound man.

Meanwhile the real Kira was smiling behind a near by building, "First rule of getting hit on, if they're ugly, but dangerous looking, make a clone"

The man walked with Kira into a nearby alley and slammed her into a wall. "Okay miss, this might get a little... rough." he sais as he gripped Kira's collar.

The Kira clone put on a frown, "I'm sorry sir but I tend to prefer the dominant role in these kinds of games." Kira pulls out a dagger and stabs the blade into his stomach. and when his grip loosens on her collar she knees him in the nutts. As the man falls to his knees she walks around to the other side and kicks his back to put him in a bowing position. "See this is how I like to see all my men, groveling at my feet at my mercy, now what should I do with you." Kira smiles in sadistic ecstasy.

The man grew more annoyed along with the pain in his crotch. But his annoyance grew and he said "You little bitch!" and then got up trying to endure the pain but the strength in his legs fell. So as he was falling, he locked his arms onto Kira and decided to take Kira down with him to the cold conrete floor.

As Kira hit the ground she grew angry, "You fucking bastard, for that you shall have hell without heaven in our little game." She quickly kicked her off him and got up. She pulled her blade from the man's stomach and pocketed it, "I'm going to be cleaning this for awhile, who knows what you've been eating." She then repeatedly stomped the guy in his crotch until he was screaming in pain after that she gave a decisive blow to the man's head to knock him out. "Piece of shit Sasquatch underestimated me." She walked out of the alley toward where Hiro was.

While in his position the Man couldn't react and simply cried out in pain until she ended his misery. He was left as a hollow man in the middle of an ally.

When the real Kira saw the clone coming out of the alley she realized her purpose was over and negated her. She walked over to Hiro and pulled him up. "Enough faking, A mark user wouldn't go down that easily."

"Eh he," Hiro chuckled "How'd you guess?" Hiro then realized what his initial plan for this faking was and then hugged onto Kira "So you do care about me~" as Kira cared enough to come back to and lecture him.

Kira get's an annoyed look and pushes Hiro away, "No....You're just my only lead so far to my brother, as such I'm not letting you escape you're responsibility."

Although Hiro could just give her the information she was looking for and she would be out of his hair forever, she has not given him anything that would be worth the information. So Hiro decided to lie with a straight face and say "Oh you won't believe it, the amazing thing is that we don't actually have any information relating to him at all," and then laughed to hide the strain on his facial muscles.

Kira just stared at him, "You're lying, it obvious by your comment and your previous actions." She pulled her bow from her back and drew it aimed at his head. "Either give me the information or give me another crappy job. Or I'll kill you for using me.

Nemo please be there... thought Abyss, leading Hina through the city until they came to the an area with several warehouses next to a ragtag village of hobo houses. Abyss saw Nemo sitting against the walls of one of the warehouses.

"It's been a long time since we've been here together," said Abyss, taking a seat next to Nemo. She scooted so close to Nemo that their shoulder's were squished together. Nemo tried to scoot away, only to have Abyss grab onto his arm. "The last time we were here was the day we met, you know I still remember it like it was yesterday."

Nemo remembered the day clearly too. The memories played back over in his head. Kara was taking him on a jog through the city when he'd gotten lost and wound up in the warehouse area. There he saw a girl one year younger then him sitting against the wall. He approached her and saw that her clothes were torn, her skin was dirty, and it looked like she'd never heard of a comb before. "Hello," said Nemo, smiling at her. "You're so beautiful you made me forget my pick up line."

The girl blushed and turned away. "If you're trying to pick me up, it won't work," said the girl, crossing her arms. It was then Nemo saw the gloves on her hands.

Nemo smiled at her again. "Alright then, why don't you tell me what you're doing here at least?" asked Nemo, sitting against the wall next to her. Obviously the girl didn't know who he was or her reaction to seeing him would've been completely different.

"Running," answered the girl simply.

"From what?"

"Nosy people like you," she answered.

"I see..." said Nemo. He assumed that this meant that she wanted him to go away now but he didn't want to so he sat there for what must've been an hour or more until the girl spoke again.

"Why are you still here?" asked the girl.

"I'm waiting for you to tell me who you're running from so maybe I can help you," answered Nemo.

"I don't need your help!" shouted the girl.

"Whatever, I'm staying here until you tell me who you're running from."

Nemo sat next to the girl for another hour until she finally cracked. "I'm running from myself alright! You happy you nosy little bastard!" she shouted in an outburst that made Nemo jump.

He smiled at her and nodded, which seemed to make her even more angry. "Why are you running from yourself?" asked Nemo.

"I'm running from myself because I'm a monster, you hear that, a monster! If I touch someone, boom, they magically receive wounds on their bodies. I put my best friend in the hospital and I- I accidently killed my parents! There I admitted it, call the guards and make them throw me into prison, or better yet I hope they execute me, that's what you do to monsters isn't it?" said the girl.

Nemo listened and then shook his head. "You're not a monster, you just don't know how to control your powers," said Nemo. Then he extended a hand towards the girl. "Touch me,"

The girl stared at Nemo for several seconds before shrugging. "Well it's your funeral," said the girl, peeling off her gloves and placing a hand on Nemo's. The girl gasped and retracted her hand when Nemo's arm bone snapped. Nemo winced at the pain but then it quickly regenerated. "What was that?" asked the girl.

"My mark," said Nemo, turning over his hand to reveal the Mark of the Phoenix. "I'm Nemo Seoul, nice to meet you!" The girl's jaw dropped as she realized that she'd just met the prince.

"I- I'm Abyss Sky Baron, it's nice to meet you..." said Abyss.

"Say are you going to attend the Phoenix Magus Academy?" asked Nemo, getting up.

Abyss nodded. "I'll be a first year, the courts ordered that I attend at least until I can control my powers."

"Maybe I can help, no matter how much damage you do to my body it can't kill me and it'll heal right away," said Nemo. Abyss was shocked that the prince would offer up his body just to help her. She couldn't help but smile a little bit and accept his offer.


"I do too, I'm such a hypocrite!" said Nemo with a laugh. There was a sort of irony to this all, now he was the one being helped by Abyss.

Abyss nodded. "Mhm... It's time I repaid the debt that I owe you," said Abyss.

"How do you intend to do that?" asked Nemo, curiously.

Abyss leaned into Nemo so that their faces were almost touching. "By saving you from that dark beast that lives inside you," she said quickly then moved her face forward. Nemo's face reddened as Abyss' lips made contact with his.

A kiss! Abyss was kissing him. Nemo's heart fluttered and at the same time the dark spirit that was inside cried out in pain. The kiss lasted for seconds that seemed like minutes before Abyss pulled away. Nemo was completely frozen.

Abyss got up as if nothing had happened and walked away. As she passed Hina who was standing nearby, she place a hand on her shoulder and whispered in her ear. "Beat that! I added my poison, now it's your turn unless you're scared," said Abyss before removing her hand and leaving.

Hina covered her mouth as she watched the scene with sparkly eyes as giddy as a school girl. It was almost like something out of a romance novel causing her to gasp and smile while exclaiming "Daw~" She never knew Abyss and Nemo had such a relationship. She nodded as she was ready to give full support to their blooming love.

Suddenly Abyss dawned her hand on Hina's shoulder and then continued walking into the sunset as if she had just passed the baton to her. Hina then looked at Abyss dumbfounded as she walked into the sunset. She wanted to raise her hand to call out to her but she felt she was going off to do bigger and better things so she let her go.

What was Abyss telling her to do? Was she suppose to beat what Abyss did just now? That would be absolutely ludicious as Hina didn't really feel love towards Nemo but rather something more like obligation to repay him. She then turned her head back to Nemo walked towards him. She then bent down to Nemo's eye level and placed her hand on top of Nemo head and started to brush her hand through Nemo's hair as she rubbed the top of Nemo's head.

Hiro placed his hands upward and exclaimed "Eeep!" as Kira was ready to shoot him. He had to choose either his life or give information away for free. Hiro began to look around furociously as he tried to look for a way to escape. Hiro then pointed upwards at the clear blue sky and said "Look! Up in the sky!"

Kira, not being amused fires a warning shot past Hiro's cheek. "Want to try a different answer?"

"What are you doing?" asked Nemo, being brought out of his shock-like state by his own confusion.

Hina then realized what she was doing and then pulled her hand back before scratching her cheek a bit. "Ah... Um... You looked almost like a cute lost puppy so um..." Hina paused as she tried to look for a logical reason. "Er... I-I mean... I forgive you." She then placed her hand over her mouth as her stuttering made her felt embarrased causing her face to grow red. "No wait... M-Maybe that was too straightforward... Um... Uh..." she muttered while trying to find a reason why she forgave him.

Hiro cracked a fake smile as sweat began rolling down his face as Kira saw through his bluff. If he ran, Kira would barrage him with arrows. The coat is not thick enough to deflect a arrow or something of the sort. "I might be able to fish something if you gave me your panties though...." Hiro tried to form a deal with Kira.

Kira not caring anymore reached into her skirt and pulled out a clone of her panties and handed them to Hiro. "Now give me the information or I'll play William Tell without the apple."

Hiro took the panties and looked at Kira with curious eyes. He then grabbed Kira's hands and proclaimed "I want to see that! So... I won't give you the information!"

Kira now being angered by Hiro's uncooperative attitude, she pulls her hand away roughly, quickly takes an arrow, pulls her bow, and fires at Hiro's head without a hesitation. "You have been warned over and over, now it's time to reap what you sow!"

Hiro caught the arrow as it was flying towards him by the hair and then cried out "Wait! I thought you were going to act out the whole story for me!"

Kira angered even more decided to get more serious. "We don't have enough actors to play the whole story, besides this is just a parody, in the real story William tell was considerate enough to aim for the apple." Kira jumped backwards a few yards and threw her dagger at Hiro and using her ability she duplicated it into a couple dozen all flying toward Hiro.

"Oh shit!" Hiro tried to form words but the daggers were flying straight towards him so he instinctively began running. Hiro still didn't know Kira's ability to it's fullest. For all he knows she might have two or more marks. Frome earlier he figured that Kira could expand objects at will. Although that isn't the case now as it wasn't one huge dagger flying towards him, but multiple. Were they illusions? There was no way to confirm it unless he lets them stab him. Although if they weren't illusions, he will get stabbed by the real dagger and be seriously injured.

Hiro has several options for what he could do. He could strengthen his muscles with his super strenth mark making it so that he cannot be pierced by the daggers but his coat would prevent it anyway. If he just sit and wait, his coat's ability wold cause the daggers to disappear but his head will be stabbed. So there was one option left. He would manipulate space itself to make it appear as if the daggers passed right through him!

Hiro activate his mark's ability to see where he has been before seeing the area he was been before in a light blue shade. He then stopped in front of it and turned around. He used his arms to cover his body to appear as he was bracing himself to block the daggers. But this was a ploy, as Hiro needed to see just when the daggers come extreamly close to him so he can teleport them behind himself.

He needed to create an illusion that the daggers passed through him so if he were to just teleport them past himself, the daggers that he wasn't going to teleport would not go as fast. Momentum is maintained during the teleportation so he would need to teleport the daggers that would stab him from area A which is in front of him, to area B which is somewhere else, and aera C which is behind him. The time a dagger spends at B would be the same amount of time the dagger would take to pass through him.

So he waited til the daggers were just about to hit him, then he made the dagger teleport to B, which is a abandoned warehouse that the LoD owns, for about a seconds, and then made the dagger teleport behind him. Thus creating the illusion that the daggers passed right through himself.

After Hiro made all the daggers that were suppose to hit him teleport behind him, Hiro took a deep breath and exclaimed "Wow! Those were fake!? You made me think you were really going to hit me!" and then started to laugh. "You really had me worried there!" He continued.

"I suppose in a couple ways, I am a lost puppy," said Nemo with a laugh. "And thanks..." He smiled at her in a sort of sad way. "I'm glad that you aren't afraid of me..."

"Oh um..." Hina was unsure of what do in this situation. She was suppose to beat Abyss somehow but she doesn't want to steal a kiss from the prince. It would be absolutely ludicous to do such a thing! There had to be another way to earn points other than a kiss.

"Wh-why would I be scared of you?" asked Hina as she wasn't too sure about what Nemo would mean. "You save me twice... Er-I-I think. " Hina tryed to remember if the number was right. "I-I don't think there would be a reason for me to be scared of my hero."

Kira was confused, Hiro's mark seemed to be able give him partial intangibility, allowing the arrows to pass through him, but still keep his clothes on. But something seemed wrong, why didn't he use it earlier when she hit him, unless there is some sort of condition or maybe his ability is something else...

Kira preparing for another round, canceled her previous dagger clones and pulled her bow string back and fired an arrow high into the air above Hiro, then using her necklace and her power of propagation made the one arrow into a dozen arrows the size of spears so that even if they did pass through Hiro they would be large enough to stay inside of his body.

"You won't get away this time, I won't let you escape." Just in case he avoided the spears, she drew a second arrow and aimed it toward the ground.

"H- hero? You think I'm a hero?" asked Nemo. "But I- I tried kill you, you almost died because I was too weak to control Shadow... I think that's what he called himself..."

"Eh?" Hina looked at Nemo with a quizical expression and then bbegins to think back to the time Nemo was attacking her earlier today. She had though that Nemo was just punshing her for not running in tune with him. She then grabbed Nemo's hand and said "N-No, you weren't trying to kill me... If you really tried to kill me that time..." Hina's eyes shifted as she realizes how depressing her next words were but continued and said "I-I wouldn't be here right now."

Hiro was facing a life and death situation. The arrows were coming down too fast and covered too wide of a range to evade them. He hasn't been in mid-air in the area here yet and he doesn't have the time to move around to cover the mid-air area so his teleportation mark is useless. So there was only one option left.

To make it appear as if all the arrows missed him. "Aaaah!" Hiro screamed as he ducked downward and curled himself into a ball. Now Hiro can manipulate the space above him where his head and torso used to be. Now he began teleporting everything in that space where he had been before within the proximity so the arrows would land as they normally would except not on him.

When Hiro noticed that he wasn't hearing anything hit the ground anymore, he stood up and start feeling his body for holes. Of course there would be none and then he looked around to see the myraid of arrows stabbing the ground. He then looked at Kira and covered his mouth before saying "You missed me."
