One Day at School - Phoenix Magus Academy

When the Nemo picked Hina up like a princess, her face grew even more red that steam can be seen emitting from her head. She was expected the prince to mean a piggy-back ride but for a prince to carry a commoner such as herself in the princess carry position shocked her even more. She then held onto the prince's shoulders with her arms bringing their face closer.

While they were moving towards the cafeteria, Hina held onto the prince more tightly so she wouldn't fall even though she was perfectly safe in the princess carry position. Upon seeing the nearby stares, Hina shoved herself into the prince's shirt to avoid them.

When they arrived at the doorway to the private section, Hina remembers that she was once curious on what was inside but didn't bother with it because it wasn't important and it was impossible to get inside with a guard in the way. Through their entire journey, Hina never once calmed down and her face remained a bright shade of red the entire time. When she finally saw what was inside the sealed doors, her face lit up with amazement of the area inside. When the guard giggled, her face changed into a bright red again. It appeared as if there would be no end to this.

When Nemo set her down, Hina looked around and eventually forward to see the prince in front of her. It almost appeared as if they were dating but that was what the everyone already believes. She saw the prince's embarrassed expression and realized that she shouldn't have asked him to carry her.

She stared at the prince for a few seconds and then thought it was rude to stare so she turned her head away. She then glanced back to see if the prince was fine and looked away again. She continued doing this for several minutes while twiddling her fingers.

She knew that she had to apologize sooner or later so she face towards the prince with bold expression. She then bowed as she said "I'm sor-" but accidentally slammed her head against the table during the bow. Her face grew red from both pain and embarrassment as she realizes she just made a fool of herself in front of the prince.

She brought her head back up to face the prince wondering how she could apologize for she just did. She then simply looked down and said "I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble." while trying to hide her face.

So cute... thought Nemo to himself as Hina accidentally hit her head on the table. "Don't worry, none of this is your fault. If anyone should be apologizing it should be me," admitted Nemo, rubbing the back of his head.

Suddenly, a waiter placed two menus in front of them. "Good afternoon prince, I must say that you and your girlfriend look wonderful together," said the waiter, setting glass cups in front of Hina and Nemo and filling them with ice water.

"Thank you Jeaves, but complimenting us won't get you a bigger tip," said Nemo. Trying not to show how embarrassed he was that Jeaves called Hina his girlfriend.

Jeaves laughed. "I suppose your tip of five gold coins is enough," said Jeaves before returning to the kitchen.

Hina continued looking downward during Nemo and Jeaves's entire conversation staying red as a apple during the whole thing. After the waiter left mentioning how big his tip was, she looked upward watching the waiter leave. Well it was the prince who was paying the tip so of course he has to give alot to keep up appearances. With that in mind as the reason for his tip Hina glanced at the menu.

She didn't want to make the prince pay as it would seem as if he was giving a free meal to a commoner so she decided that she would at least pay for her share. After looking at the contents, Hina jaw dropped at how ridiculously expensive everything was. If she had to describe it, it would cost more than a hundred newspapers.

She then shook her head at the thought of making Nemo pay for her and then closed the menu. She then glanced around to distract herself from the menu only to see other people eating which made her hungry. She then closed her and shook her head again to erase those thoughts and stared downward trying to suppress her hunger.

"What's the matter?" asked Nemo, noticing that Hina was acting a little bit weird.

Hina noted that Nemo showed concern for her but she didn't want to bother him more than she already has. She then replied "Um... I can't afford anything here." while keeping her head down.

"I said I'd pay for it, didn't I?" asked Nemo.

"I don't want to trouble you more than I already have..." Replies Hina while looking away.

"It's no trouble at all, really," Nemo assured her.

"Um... Okay..." Hina replies while flipping through the menu once more. She then chose the least expensive thing she could find. "I'll take the bread sticks then...", she continued.

Nemo scowled, seeing what Hina was trying to do. No one just has bread sticks when they're dining with the prince. "What'll you two have today?" asked Jeaves, pulling out a notepad.

"Ah yes, I'll have 2 orders of Lobster...." said Nemo, winking at Jeaves and he nodded and started scribbling stuff down. "...And she'll have an order of bread sticks," added Nemo.

"I'll have that out in a moment," said Jeaves before returning to the kitchen. It was only a few minutes before he returned carrying a tray with 2 orders of lobster. "Sorry about your bread sticks ma'am, we seem to have ran out," Jeaves lied bluntly.

"Don't worry about it Jeaves," interjected Nemo. "Just give her one of my lobsters, I accidentally ordered too much anyways."

Jeaves smiled as he set a plate of lobster in front of Nemo and another in front of Hina. "Please enjoy your food," said Jeaves, bowing and then going over to serve one of the teachers.

Hina stared at the lobster sitting in front of her. The Lobster Lunch, it was the most expensive item for the lunch menu. Was it really alright for her to eat something of such grandeur?

She took one of the forks at her side and started poking at it. It just occurred to her she had never eaten a lobster before. She looked at Nemo eating his lobster and copied his movements.

The sweet juices from the sauce flowed into her mouth as soon as she placed it in. When she chewed on the meat, it's juices exploded out causing a pleasurable sensation that one can only find in food. She then continued copying Nemo until the lunch was emptied.

She then took a look at the clock on the wall and it was almost time for her History class to start. Hina looked around to find out where the garbage can was but couldn't find it. Looking at other tables, people just left the plates on the table for the waiter to take care of it. She wanted to help but she doesn't know if she was allowed to so she just followed their lead.

"Um... It's almost time for the next class to start so I'll be going now.", said Hina as she got up.

"Okay, you can go, I'll be out in a second, Jeaves would be upset if I didn't leave him a tip," said Nemo as he got into his pocket and pulled out a pouch with a very small fraction of the money that he actually had and placed six gold pieces on the table for Jeaves. One extra gold because he caught onto what Nemo was planning. By the time Nemo was done paying, Hina was gone and it was about time for Nemo to watch her again, how he was going to do that he had no idea.

History class was a time Hina was looking forward to as she would be able to learn about Ray Seoul. She hoped that she would be able to learn a few things about him today but it wasn't going to happen. The class wasn't exactly a peaceful time as they resort to direct harassment now.

During class. something suddenly struck Hina on the back of her head. The pain is quite excruciating so this must have been caused by a mark user. She decided to look around for what hit her. It was a small seed but it was somewhat wet leading Hina conclude that either someone most likely spitted it at her. She then threw away the seed hoping it was just a coincidence.

Hina then tried to find out who the culprit was as by analyzing the seed and concluded that the perpetrator must either be eating something with seeds inside or collected these seeds before hand knowing she can't turn it into dust before it reaches her.

Unlucky, another seed hit her on the back of the head again causing her to look back. None of them seemed to have any kind of food on their desk and multiple of them were chewing something possibly gum or something similar. There was also a possability that the food is actually on their lap but she can't see it from where she was.

Suddenly she was hit on the back of her head again but this time from the front of the classroom. She then turned her head forward to see the piece of chalk has landed the books she placed down on her desk earlier.

"Hina, I know you want to leave the class, but you need to stop looking at the clock and pay attention." the teacher said. Indeed, the clock was in the back of the classroom so if anyone wanted to see it, they would need to turn their head around.

Hina realizes that she knows that she was being harassed. Normally a teacher wouldn't give heed to one student that looks back at the clock in a classroom as big as hers. Another note is that she knows that she wants to leave her class to escape the harassment. It was a two pronged attacked made by a teacher and student combination. She can't learn anything due to being attacked so she has no choice but to endure it until the class was over.

Nemo watched Hina being harassed from a hole in made in the bathroom wall that connected with the classroom. How dare the teacher not stop them! thought Nemo. He would see to it that that teacher was fired as soon as possible.

Nemo also saw the person who was spitting seeds at Hina and gave Angelica a call. The second class was over, Angelica ran up to the girl and slapped hand cuffs on her, mumbling stuff about 'discipline' and licking her lips.

Hina watched as Angelica took away the student. Not sure why but she assumed it to be the one spitting at her as shortly afterwards nothing hit her anymore. Soon afterwards, the class was over and she went to her last class.

It was time for mark training and Hina walked down with her class down to the arenas under the school. Since there were students in front of her, if they make a weird movement, that means that there has to be a trap and she should do the same thing to avoid it. Safely making it down to the C rank Arena,

Among the many students that were there, she doesn't remember most of them. Ordinarily, teachers would oust any student that was not part of their class but this teacher was part of the harassment. Hina trembled as she wonders what they would be doing.

When they arrived at the arena Hina noticed each student was getting together into their own group talking while loners stayed alone by themselves. Hina being one of the loners stayed by herself awaiting to hear what they were going to do today.

"We're going to have a simulation of a Free-For-All battle. If you get heavily injured, trust your classmate to not attack you while you wait to be taken out of the arena." the voice over the intercom announced. Hina looked around seeing blood-lust in many of the students eyes. Clearly this was all a ploy to lure her down here to beat her down.

"You're going to pay for making the prince carry you like that." said one of the female students. Similar jeers came from other female students as they locked their eyes on her. She was surrounded and there was plenty of time left before class ended.

"You may begin now.", said the voice over the intercom and then hundreds of projectiles were launched at Hina. Rocks, water, fire and even the torches were thrown at her from all directions. In response, Hina ducked down to create a shell out of the ground to cover her using the abilities of "Paper" thus repelling the rocks and torches.

Although the shell was just made out of dirt and rock. The water caused the dirt to turn into mud and the shell started to collapse. Hina grunted as her small fortress was collapsing around her. She then realized she can escape underground and used "Paper" again to make a hole she can hide in until it was all over and then again to make a covering for the hole.

When the shell finally turned to mush, the students looked in astonishment as there was no one inside. Hina sighed a breath of relief inside her dark hole as nothing happened to her yet. She felt that she would be safe inside her until class was over.

Suddenly her dark surroundings illuminated with light. It was the light from the light bulbs on the ceiling of the arena but how did it get to where she was? All the dirt around her was cleared away leaving a giant pit where Hina was inside. A pit this large can't suddenly be made by a C rank student. There were indeed an A or B rank student here!

Hina watched as students began to descend into the pit and the projectiles from earlier started flying at her again. If she couldn't escape down, she had to go up. Using "Paper" again, she created a pillar out of the rocky ground allowing her to ascend into the air.

The projectiles hit the pillar causing it to shake a bit but Hina was perfectly fine. Although the fact that the pillar was also made out of the dirt on the floor means it can be melted by the water again. As the water caused the dirt to melt into mud, the pillar Hina was on toppled over like a tree after it was cut down.

At this rate, Hina would fall into the group of people below her. She had to use her second weapon! She then clenched her thumb, ring and pinky finger to make the symbol for her weapon even though she doesn't need to. She then created a large gust of wind using the hot and cold air particles in the air causing the students to be blown away and cushioning her fall.

"Hey! What was that!?" asked one of the students.
"That wasn't in her records!" stated another one of them.

Hina was right to have hidden "Scissors" as it could become her trump card right now. They were only prepared to battle her "Paper", her current weapon "Scissors" can disrupt their strategy. Currently they were mainly throwing projectiles at her and using "Scissors", she can blow them away.

Although as Hina was relishing her new battle strategy, one of the student's punch sent her flying and crashing into the wall. Hina walked out of the wall as she notes that "Scissors" is only a single gust of wind. Unlike "Paper" which she can use to guard herself completely, she can't make wind to blow everything around her yet.

Her left arm was broken from the punch. It hurt to even move it at the moment. Hina pants as she tries to analyze her surrounds but just as she was looking around a bolt of lightning from the crowd hit her causing her to scream out in pain and fall onto the floor. Her vision blurred as her body felt numb.

"Psh. We were going to let the other C rank students take care of you but it seems we B ranked students have to do it. They couldn't even bother to look for you underground." said one of the girls. She then shot another electric bolt causing Hina to scream in pain. "Meh, I'm just not feeling it just shocking you like this." she continued and then kicked Hina in the stomach. "Well, you're going to puke out everything the prince gave you." she announced as she signaled other girls to come kick her as well.

Hina placed her right hand on the floor and caused a pillar to shoot her into the air. Hina began to pant more as she flew into the air. As she was about to use "Scissors" to keep her up in the air, a huge torrent of water flew down from the ceiling causing Hina to smash onto the floor breaking a few ribs.

"If you're going to do it properly make sure she can't escape." said another girls. Her chest truly hurt this time as her broken rib bones were digging into her chest tissues. The girl then saw that there was a black spot on Hina's left know realizing it was broken and then stepped on it causing Hina to scream in pain again. "Hey, I got her, now get over here." the girl said as she beckoned for the girls to arrive.

She's close enough Hina thought as she clenched her right hand into a fist. She then punched in the direction of the girl and created a explosion via hydrogen combustion by "Rock". The explosion also propelled Hina away from the girls.

After the explosion, Hina bounced on the floor a few times before stopping. The pain was unbearable as both her left arm and ribs were broken and the bones were digging into her. She didn't have any strength left as the other students began to surround her again.

"Hey... how many abilities were she hiding?" questioned one of the girls.

"Maybe she has more than one mark." said another.

The girls then approached her curiously and cautiously as Hina could have many more secrets that could mean danger to them at that moment. Their slow approach only made Hina more anxious for them to just get it over with. She had no tricks.

Hina seeing this as the end to her life only saw the time she spent with Nemo appear. Perhaps because they were the most fun times of her life. "Ne... mo..." She said with the last of her breath as she never really got to call for his name. Maybe they were fitting to be her last words as she waited for her death to arrive.

Arriving just in time, Nemo, Angelica, and 2 of the 3 other Committee members dropped from the rafters with a pulse of darkness from Nemo to break their fall. The pulse also knocked back the students that were trying to advance on Hina. "Sky, help Hina!" ordered Nemo. A skittish short girl with short blond hair nodded and knelt down next to Hina, placing hands on the damaged area's of her body. Hina's body was instantly filled by light as all the damage done to her body began healing.

As Sky healed Hina, everyone caught in Angelica's glare froze instantly but only for a split second as Nemo launched a large beam of dark energy into the frozen mob of students, slamming at least twenty or so students into the arena wall. Next, Jason Perennial the other Committee member created several Venus Fly Traps that picked up students in it's jaws as they passed. He also created a barrier of thorny vines that lashed out at the students stopped by it.

By this time, the amount of attacking students had been reduced to less then half it's original size. Nemo ran through the crowd cutting down students left and right, all while being sure not to hit any vitals. One of the students tried to send a bolt of lightning at Nemo but before it could reach him, the lightning turned black and changed course, slamming into another student. Before the girl that had attempted to shock him could move, Nemo charged her and rammed a palm into her stomach. Black energy exploded from her back and she collapsed.

Nemo stopped for a second to catch his breath, now only a few students were still remaining standing only to be quickly eaten and then regurgitated by Jason's man eating plants. The unconscious bodies of nearly a hundred students littered the arena floor. "How is she?" asked Nemo, approaching Sky.

"S-she'll b-be f-f-fine..." answered Sky, stuttering as she spoke to Nemo.

"How about we take her to the Committee Office?" asked Nemo to Angelica.

Angelica nodded. "But you have to carry her, lover boy."

Nemo swallowed as he remembered the last time he'd carried her. "Alright," agreed Nemo as he picked her up in a princess hold and carried her off.

Hina watches as Nemo and the others committee members single handily defeated all the students in her class. The pain from her chest and arm began to lessen as partially due to Sky's healing but also due to the happiness she felt when they came to save her. She began letting out the tears as she could finally relax.

Although tears were also caused by Hina's realization that she was weak. As she is now, even one of her classmates would be able to beat her. Was she just a fool who was planning to battle the Demon Lord?

When Nemo carried Hina away, she had already cried herself to sleep. By the time she had woken up, she was in room she had never been in before. Her vision still blurry, she began looking around.

"How are you feeling?" asked Nemo, noticing that Hina had woken up. Nemo had carried her to the Committee room where he'd laid her on an emergency folding cot. He hadn't wanted to take her to the nurses because for all he knew the nurse had been in on the thing as well. All but one of the Discipline Committee members sat around Hina's cot.

Hina's vision returned to her and sees Nemo and a few others she does not know of in the room. Although the room she was in does not seem familiar at all. She felt that she could find the answer if she asked Nemo and thus she asked "Where is this?"

"This is the Discipline Committee office," answered Nemo. The Committee Office was the size of a large rectangular classroom, and there was a short table on one side, where the members sat if they were having a meeting and the other side of the classroom was filled with gym supplies (punching bags, weights, etc.).

Hina looks around wondering why she was here. Her head was almost splitting open from the pain. She then tries to remember why she was in this office.

The last thing she remembered was the four people around her fighting against her class and some of the people in Nemo's fan club. But then that raised the question of why they were doing that and she reached deeper into her memory trying to remember.

As she tried to remember, as if she was trying to repress it was hard to remember. Suddenly it flashed back to her. She remembered herself helplessly being attacked and no matter what she did, she was unable to repel them.

It was just like that time long ago when her mother was killed. She felt powerless as she years ago and began to leak tears from her eyes. Upon realizing that she was crying, she turned her head away to hide it.

Nemo immediately noticed that Hina had started crying. While he didn't know exactly why she was crying, he still knew he had to do something. He thought hard, trying to think of something. Then, he remembered the way Ursela comforted him whenever he was sad. He took a deep breath, got on his knees and tried his best to give Hina an awkward hug considering Nemo was vertical and Hina was laying horizontally. "Everything is going to be all right," whispered Nemo into her ear.

Hina's face grew more red once Nemo hugged her. Nemo's warmth transmitted to her causing her to jump up and hug Nemo in return. "Thank you..." Hina said softly as tears rank down her face. She had numerous things to thank him for, so she felt she should return them slowly.

Before Nemo could say anything else, someone pulled him away from Hina by his ear. He looked up to see who was dragging him, it was Sky but at the same time it wasn't really Sky. "Abyss! Ow," said Nemo as Abyss tugged on Nemo's ear even harder at the sound of her name. "When, ow, did you, ow, change?"

Abyss released Nemo's ear and he fell onto his back. Looking up, he could see Abyss's green watermelon panties. Abyss must of known, but she made no attempt to hide them. "Sky tripped as we were coming up the stairs, thank you for noticing," said Abyss, putting her hands on her hips. Nemo could hear the annoyance in her voice as he got to his feet.

"Sorry, I was a bit preoccupied at the time," apologized the prince, laughing softly and rubbing the back of his head.

Abyss glared at him for a second and then she blushed. "It's okay," she said softly, turning her head away.

Hina watches the committee members act carefree and wonders if she'll get friends like them. Their happiness carried over to her stopping her tears for the moment and making a small smile appear on her face.

Since the current situation was so carefree, Hina almost forgot everything that had just happened moments ago. How she was unable to fend off everyone else during that attack from earlier. She was helpless and she couldn't use her weapons to their full effectiveness.

At the pace she was going, she wouldn't ever be strong enough to beat the Demon Lord much less fight his minions. If she was going to even get a chance of beating them, she would need to find a strong group or a teacher that can teach her how to get stronger. After considering how strong the Discipline Committee was, she felt that she could get stronger through them as well while providing herself safety from Nemo's fan club as well.

Hina looks around finding Nemo busy with the girl in front of her. The other guy she didn't really know so she turned to the girl that asked her to join before and stuttered a bit before exclaiming, "I... I want to join the Discipline Committee! Um... please teach me about 'discipline'!"

"Alright," nodded Angelica. "Hey guys, looks like we got a new member! You know what that means right?" shouted Angelica, quickly grabbing her member's attention. "Party at Nemo's house!"

"Why do we have to have a party at MY house!?" asked Nemo. He really disliked the idea of throwing a party in his private apartment building.

"Oh?" started Angelica, tossing a glare in Nemo's direction. "Do you not want us at your house?" The way Angelica could turn a simple question into a death threat amazed Nemo.

Nemo swallowed. "Fine, we can have a party... But only for a little bit..." submitted Nemo.

Hina looked with astonishment that they just accepted her into the council so easily. This was also going to be one of the first party that she will be attending. What would she do there, she has no clue. She assumed she should be copying what everyone else was doing there.

The door suddenly opened and a guy walked in wearing the school uniform loosely and a small metallic canteen in his hand. His blond was hair was scuffled as if he had just woken up from bed. He looks around and says "Morning." It was Jayden, a student in class 5A. Hina stared at him as it was clearly evening and not morning but she doesn't really know how to correct him on that. He then waved at everyone and said "Sup'?"

"Ah Jayden, you've finally made it!" welcomed Angelica. "We are just about to head over to Nemo's house to throw a party for our new member!" she said as she pointed towards Hina.

Jayden redirects his attention at Hina and Hina cringes due to being stared at. She then looks down while giving a small wave. "Is that so?" Jayden says with a smile. "Okay! I'll bring a bottle of booze!"

Hina eyes lit up with astonishment as he mentions a bottle of booze. Booze normally meant alcohol but she never drank any nor was she of legal age to drink. She then began wondering if she should really go to a party with alcohol but since it was a party for her, she felt she had to go as she is the guest of honor.

She then gets up and looks around. She doesn't see her satchel that held her things anywhere. Maybe someone stole it during the events before or maybe she just couldn't see it. She then began rummaging through the small bed she was on for her satchel.

"No alcohol!" shouted Nemo at the mentioning of booze. Then he noticed that Hina seemed to be searching for something. "What are you looking for?" asked Nemo, bending down so he was eye level with Hina.
